An artist who leads, and someone who believes that leading itself is an art form. That the way we build structures, guide people and make things together is a creative practice.

I work with the diversity of minds and the diversity of bodies — because both carry patterns shaped by a world not built for us, and both deserve practice that sees, honours and works with who we actually are.

For years my career was tangled and fragmented — and the sector didn't help. Short-term funding, false competition, inclusion as a tick box, values slowly ground down by survival mode. I was doing the work but losing myself in it. My brain and my body were at odds — pulling in different directions, neither one honoured, neither one heard.

Then I started paying attention to what seemed to actually work. Working to my strengths and supporting others to work to theirs. Crafting opportunities around real skills. Asking for help. Finding tools that could hold the complexity of an artist-leader life — the strategy, the sustainability, the self-knowledge, the co-creation. I brought my brain and my body back into relationship. I got space back. For poems. For dreaming. For theatre and puppetry and the things that make me an artist — and the space to lead from my art.
