Hello, I’m Katie. Nice to meet you.
I’d call myself an effervescent multi-ist — someone who refuses to stay in one lane.
I’ve always been drawn to complexity: finding pathways through the mess, uncovering layers, and feeling for what’s hidden beneath the surface.
My work lives at the intersections — where creativity, connectivity, collectivity and care collide. That’s where transformation happens.
At 18, I travelled solo across South America for four months. I volunteered with Espacio Cultural Creativo, a grassroots collective using the arts to build social cohesion and wellbeing. That experience showed me that creativity is power — a tool for survival, belonging, and change.
Back in the UK, I began a Masters in Theatre for Development, where development studies met performance. It was my first experiment in bringing together things that weren’t “meant” to fit. I saw how transformation happens when you put unlikely elements side by side and watch them spark something new.
From there, I worked with theatre companies, youth organisations and communities, until I founded Starling — one of the first UK charities to focus on neurodivergent young people. I wanted to fill a gap I could see clearly. I wanted to create spaces where young people could belong, grow and lead. Leading Starling taught me that leadership isn’t about directing others — it’s about building frameworks where people step into their own power.
I’ve always believed that nothing is impossible. Self-knowledge is the sharpest tool you’ll ever hold. Curiosity and inquiry are fuel.
My own journey through CPTSD led me into somatics. Another collision. Another “unlikely pairing.” Nervous system practice alongside leadership and organisational change. The more I learned, the more I realised these aren’t separate worlds — they’re each other’s missing pieces.
Now, I work with rebellious change-makers who also refuse to stay in one lane. People who are pushing boundaries, starting projects, shaping futures. If that sounds like you, I invite you to unlock potential, unblock what weighs you down, and become unbound in your leadership — embodied, authentic, and unapologetically powerful.
